Dr. Vega is a highly experienced Prosthodontist specializing in dental implants and aesthetic dentistry. He completed his residency program in Prosthodontics at The Dental College of Georgia in June 2018. Dr. Vega has lectured on implant dentistry both in the United States and in Mexico. He continues to stay up to date on the latest information concerning Prosthodontics that include the subjects of Implantology and Full Mouth Rehabilitation. Dr. Vega is an Associate Fellow of the American Academy Of Implant Dentistry  (AAID).

Dr. Arce-Munoz started his graduate education at Universidad del Valle at Cali in Colombia, where he obtained a DDS degree (2000) and a master’s degree in pharmacology and periodontology (2005). Dr. Arce then moved to the U.S. to earn a PhD in oral biology (2011) and a specialty certificate in periodontology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry (2013). He also completed a certificate in Translational Research from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute and a postdoctoral fellowship with the Next Generation of Oral Health Researchers (NextGen-NIDCR) training program at UNC.

His research interests include molecular host/pathogen interactions and the modulation of inflammatory responses in periodontitis, as well as computer-guided implant surgery systems. Dr. Arce has been awarded the AAPF Educator Scholarship (2012), the AAPF Fellowship to the Institute for Teaching and Learning (2014), and the AAPF Teaching Fellowship (2015).

He is currently a Harold Amos AMFDP scholar, a diplomate of the American Academy of Periodontology, and an associate professor of periodontics at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) School of Dentistry.

Dr. Jeanneth Castro is a highly experienced dental professional with over 25 years of practice in Houston, Texas. She graduated from FUSM in Bogotá, Colombia, and earned a Master’s in Oral Surgery and Oral Pathology from PU Javeriana.

A Texas-licensed dentist, Dr. Castro worked as an Associate Dentist at Ace Dental, Hispanic Clinic, and Dental Innovations before establishing and owning her own family dental practice for the past 25 years.

Passionate about dental prevention, Dr. Castro is dedicated to educating her patients on maintaining lifelong oral health. She is also committed to community service and education through various volunteer activities. As a bilingual professional fluent in English and Spanish, she strives to provide quality care to diverse communities.

I’m passionate about staying active—I love exercising, hiking, trekking, and pretty much anything outdoors. Nature is my happy place!

Volunteering has been a lifelong passion. Over the years, I’ve dedicated my time to causes close to my heart, and I’m currently an active volunteer with Houston Pets Alive and The Women’s Resource.

I strongly believe in the power of education and encouragement, especially when it comes to empowering vulnerable communities. Everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive.

Caroline is of Brazilian descent and is Dr. Vega’s wife. She has a PhD in Dentistry and serves as our business consultant.

Education & Passion: Her passion for teaching took her to the position of professor with a residency program at a University in Brazil. Doing research during her master’s and doctorate degrees made her eyes shine and her heart smile.

Languages & Travel: While an exchange student in Belgium, she learned to speak French fluently. She loves learning new languages (currently improving her Spanish and English). She enjoys traveling to picturesque places, cooking, and speaking French with Dr. Vega—their secret language!

Fun Fact: Caroline has had the title of Ambassador of the Country of Liège since she lived in Belgium in 2009.

Jose has over 10 years of dental administrative experience. He is very dedicated to his profession and helping others.

Jose plays a big role in creating a positive patient experience. He is your go-to for:
-Billing and insurance claims
-Scheduling urgent matters
-Answering your questions
-Ensuring the office runs efficiently
 

Jose is happily married to his lovely wife, Maria. They have four beautiful children (2 boys and 2 girls), and he loves spending his free time doing activities with them.

Fun Fact: Jose likes to DJ in his spare time.

Jaime grew up in Houston, Texas, and comes to us with many years of experience in the dental industry. As a child, Jaime wanted to be an artist but found a talent in dentistry that led him to follow his passion.

Liz is a valued member of the Prostho Dental team, working as a receptionist while also helping manage the practice’s social media. She enjoys creating a welcoming experience for patients and sharing the personality and work of the team through social media.

Outside of work, Liz loves spending quality time with her daughters, reading, and staying active at the gym.

Fun Fact: Liz loves exploring different cultures through food. She enjoys discovering new restaurants, coffee shops, and dessert spots and is always excited to try something new!

She is a caring and dedicated Dental Assistant who truly enjoys helping others and making every patient feel comfortable and cared for. Outside of the office, she loves discovering new coffee shops, spending time with her family, and enjoying time with her husband. She also has a special love for horses!
